A few changes in format for the IAF Yearbook as it now covers the 12 calendar months from June rather than the previus January to December format. This latest yearbook covers an interesting period in IAF history as during the time period covered by this book the IAF flew more than 15,000 hours of combat operations. All of the current front line types are featured and there are also some historical photographs as a number of squadrons have celebrated their golden jubilee this year.
Though mainly a photo book, this is an interesting title for anyone who likes modern aircraft especially as the IAF is on a near continual war footing and is cotinually developing new weapons and introducing new aircraft types as well as upgrading existing airframes. As well as the well known front line types like the F-16, F-15, AH-64 you also get a lot of coverage of more obscure but important types like the Magister trainer Beech B-200 and the new Golfstream IV AEW
This 70 pages book with over 150 color photos give the reader an insight to the Israeli Air Force, its men and machines.
